Robert Steimel

Executive Director

Bob joined GSCF in April, 2021 as the Executive Director of the Community Foundation for Cloud County (CFCC) after being on the Board of Governors and as the volunteer Executive Director of CFCC since its inception in October, 2002. Between his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and his Master of Business Administration – Accounting, Bob served three years in the US Army with one year with NATO in Turkey. Bob is married to Lorene and they have four grown children, 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Bob retired from a 30 year career where he was a partner with Kennedy and Coe, CPA”s in the Concordia office. Bob considers CFCC as the “tool to be used” if you want to contribute endowed monies to provide charitable gifts to nonprofits and charitable activities to serve the citizens of Cloud County and improve their quality of life.

Community Foundation for Cloud County Awards Grants The Community Foundation for Cloud County (CFCC) grants committee met October 16, 2020  and ratified or awarded the following grants totaling $37,213: Seize the Moment Fund - a $490 grant to USD # 333 for PAUSE PAWS speaker series. Full Court Press for Progress Fund -  a $2,751.71 grant and a $2,688.62 grant  to the City of Concordia to assist with the costs of redoing the tennis courts, basketball courts and build two pickleball courts. Community foundation accepting scholarship applications

CONCORDIA, Kan.―The Community Foundation for Cloud County is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2021-2022 school year. This year, over $20,000 is available to area students through the foundation’s eight scholarship funds: C. Carl Cunningham Rotary Scholarship, for graduating Concordia High School seniors.Carol Puckett Memorial Scholarship, for graduates of a Cloud County high school pursuing a major in education.CF Sunshine Scholarship, for graduating high school seniors or graduates from Cloud County or Washington County who are pursuing the medical or education field, or plan to attend a recognized trade school.Gertrude Whitebread, for graduating Concordia High School seniors attending Kansas State University.
