“We Love Cloud County Surprise Grants”

The Community Foundation for Cloud County (CFCC) spread love across the county this Valentine’s Day by awarding the first-ever “We Love Cloud County Surprise Grants.” These grants were hand delivered by CFCC board members and Executive Director Brenda Gilliland to five local organizations in recognition of their meaningful contributions to the community.

The following organizations received a $250 grant to support projects that enhance local services:

  • Sisters of St. Joseph – Funding to help replace broken popcorn popper
  • USD 333: Concordia Elementary School – Playground basketball goal nets or balls
  • K-State Research & Extension River Valley District – NCK LEAD Program support
  • City of Concordia Animal Shelter – Dog and cat food for shelter animals
  • Park Villa Nursing Home – Enhancements for the hospice room

“These surprise grants are our way of showing appreciation for the incredible organizations that serve Cloud County,” said Brenda Gilliland, CFCC Executive Director. “We hope this initiative brings a little extra joy and support to their important work.”
