Community Foundation for Cloud County awards scholarships
The Community Foundation for Cloud County has awarded over $39,000 in scholarships to area students for the upcoming academic year.
- The C. Carl Cunningham Rotary Scholarship is for seniors graduating from Concordia High School. Keri Farmer, Mya Bauer, and Jori Letourneau, all from Concordia, each received this scholarship.
- The Carol Puckett Memorial Scholarship is for graduates of a Cloud County high school pursuing an education major. Georgia Rolph, Delphos, received this scholarship.
- The CF Sunshine Scholarship is for seniors graduating from or graduates of a Cloud County or Washington County high school majoring in a medical, education, recognized trade, or agricultural field. Luke Nobert, Clyde; Destyni Christenson, Haddam; Makenna Elliot, Morrowville; Ella Bottner, Glasco; Hunter Blackwood, Clyde; Tierney Breault and Katelyn Reedy, both of Concordia; Mylee Hammond, Clyde; and Sevy Wurtz, Clifton, are the recipients of this scholarship.
- The Cloud Ceramics Masonry Scholarship is for students attending a post-secondary masonry or building trades program at a vo-tech, technical college or community college. Quentin Crum, Scandia, and Marik Anderson, Lindsborg, are the recipients of this scholarship.
- The Gertrude Whitebread Scholarship is for seniors graduating from Concordia High School planning to attend Kansas State University. Aubrey Stahlman and Brigham Chavey, both of Concordia, received a renewal scholarship.
- The Irene Saulnier Scholarship is for graduates from Cloud County High School currently attending, or planning to attend, a Kansas accredited post-secondary school, or a recognized technical or vocational trade school. Hattie Blackwood and Oliver Nobert, both of Clyde, received this scholarship.
- The Mark C. and Dorothy I. Morgan Scholarship is for graduating seniors and graduates of a Cloud County high school or homeschool pursuing an agriculture or education major at a Kansas post-secondary institution, including a university, college, community college, or recognized technical or vocational trade school. Luke Nobert, Clyde; Carlie Carlgren, Scandia; and Sevy Wurtz, Clifton, are the recipients of this scholarship.
- The Pauline and Richard A. Cook Family Scholarship is for North-Central Kansas college sophomores attending Cloud County Community College, Fort Hays State University, Kansas State University or the University of Kansas. Lacie Duvall and Daegen DeGraff, both of Concordia; Jolie Girard, Clyde; Skylar Kahrs, Clifton; Victoria Reynolds, Jamestown; and Shea Wurtz, Clifton, are the recipients of this scholarship.
- The Wayne and Alberta Neel Scholarship is for college sophomores or above who are graduates of a Cloud County high school. Bricen Benyshek, Aurora; Aubrey Stahlman and Emma Herman, both of Concordia; and Jenna McFadden, Clifton, each received this scholarship.
- The Wendy Ann Koch Memorial Scholarship is for graduating seniors from Clifton-Clyde High School. Calyn Baker, Clyde, received this scholarship.
