Community foundation announces grant awards

CONCORDIA, Kan.— The Community Foundation for Cloud County recently awarded grants to three area organizations. In December and January, grants were funded through the community foundation’s Dane G. Hansen Community Grant Fund.

The following organizations received funding for charitable projects to benefit Cloud County:

  • Brown Grand Opera House, Inc., $5,250 to help fund the Missoula Children’s Theater summer program for students going into first grade through eighth grade to learn and perform a play/musical to the community.
  • City of Concordia, $5,684 to help aid in the restoration and maintenance of the snowflakes that hang over 6th Street in downtown Concordia.
  • National Orphan Train Complex, Inc., $3,500 to replace the gutter and downspouts on the roof of the historic Union Pacific Depot due to damage from severe wind and hailstorms in 2021.
