Field of Interest Funds

Field of Interest Funds allow donors to designate a specific cause or geographic area for grant making without having to name a specific organization. Grants are made through an application process administered by the Foundation and/or with a special advisory group with expertise in the field of interest.

Cloud County Economic Development Fund
The purpose of the Cloud County Economic Development Fund is to support projects or programs which support positive, progressive economic or community development in Cloud County, and are charitable, educational, or scientific in nature.

Cloud County Public Health Fund 
This is a public health fund formed as a result of participating in the Kansas Health Foundation’s GROW II program. Like the Kansas Health Foundation Fund for Cloud County, it promotes the health and well-being of individuals and communities in Cloud County through encouragement of healthy lifestyles, behaviors and environments.

Dane G. Hansen Foundation Community Grant Fund*
This fund was established by the Dane G. Hansen Foundation to fund grants in Cloud County that address community beautification, education, environment, health & human service and inter-generational projects/programs.

Gelvin-Ingersoll Medical Education Fund
The purpose of the Gelvin-Ingersoll Medical Education Fund is to support medical education activities and/or scholarships to students studying in the medical related field that are charitable, educational or scientific in nature.

Kansas Health Foundation Fund for Cloud County
This is a public health fund formed as a result of participating in the Kansas Health Foundation’s GROW II program. Like the Cloud County Public Health Fund, it promotes the health and well-being of individuals and communities in Cloud County through encouragement of healthy lifestyles, behaviors and environments.

Youth Activity Fund
The Youth Activity Fund supports youth activities in Cloud County that are charitable, educational, or scientific in nature. Grants are considered for all school sponsored and non-school sponsored youth activities with emphasis on academics and the arts but not excluding athletics.

CFCC AWARDS GRANTS The Community Foundation for Cloud County (CFCC) grant committee  awarded the following grants at its February 12, 2020 meeting: Dane G. Hansen Community Grant Fund - a $2,000 grant to the City of Jamestown to assist with the July 4th celebration Kansas Health Foundation Fund for Cloud County – a $3,000 grant to KSU River Valley Extension to assist with the cost of  having Mark Potter, former head basketball coach at Newman University in Wichita,  share his greatest victory with 7th-12th graders and at public meeting in Cloud County. January Updates

Community Foundation for Cloud County Holds Quarterly Board Meeting The Community Foundation for Cloud County (CFCC) Board of Governors held their quarterly meeting at the Concordia Chamber of Commerce meeting room at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2020. The CFCC Consolidated Statement of Financial Position and Statement of Activities for December 31, 2020 showed over $179,000 additional investments  in the Foundation, over $515,000 investment income and over $164,000 in grants awarded for the quarter then ended. The community's total  fund investment in the Community Foundation for Cloud County is over  $8,756,000 as of December 31, 2020. The Foundation had earnings rate for the quarter[...]
