Field of Interest Funds

Field of Interest Funds allow donors to designate a specific cause or geographic area for grant making without having to name a specific organization. Grants are made through an application process administered by the Foundation and/or with a special advisory group with expertise in the field of interest.

Cloud County Economic Development Fund
The purpose of the Cloud County Economic Development Fund is to support projects or programs which support positive, progressive economic or community development in Cloud County, and are charitable, educational, or scientific in nature.

Cloud County Public Health Fund 
This is a public health fund formed as a result of participating in the Kansas Health Foundation’s GROW II program. Like the Kansas Health Foundation Fund for Cloud County, it promotes the health and well-being of individuals and communities in Cloud County through encouragement of healthy lifestyles, behaviors and environments.

Dane G. Hansen Foundation Community Grant Fund*
This fund was established by the Dane G. Hansen Foundation to fund grants in Cloud County that address community beautification, education, environment, health & human service and inter-generational projects/programs.

Gelvin-Ingersoll Medical Education Fund
The purpose of the Gelvin-Ingersoll Medical Education Fund is to support medical education activities and/or scholarships to students studying in the medical related field that are charitable, educational or scientific in nature.

Kansas Health Foundation Fund for Cloud County
This is a public health fund formed as a result of participating in the Kansas Health Foundation’s GROW II program. Like the Cloud County Public Health Fund, it promotes the health and well-being of individuals and communities in Cloud County through encouragement of healthy lifestyles, behaviors and environments.

Youth Activity Fund
The Youth Activity Fund supports youth activities in Cloud County that are charitable, educational, or scientific in nature. Grants are considered for all school sponsored and non-school sponsored youth activities with emphasis on academics and the arts but not excluding athletics.

CFCC awards June grants

The Community Foundation for Cloud County (CFCC) grants committee met June 20, 2019 and awarded the following grants from the Dane G. Hansen Community Grant Fund: A $365.49 grant to the City of Concordia to support the National Night Out Program. A $1,000 grant to Catholic Charities for Northern Kansas for hygiene bags for the needy. The next grant committee meeting will be in August, when the July applications will be considered. Community foundation awards scholarships

The Community Foundation for Cloud has awarded over $14,000 in scholarships to area students for the upcoming academic year. The Carl Cunningham Rotary Scholarship for for seniors graduating from Concordia High School. Brenda Craig, Concordia, received a $800 scholarship, Alex Bonebrake, Concordia, received a $500 scholarship, Madelyn Meyer, Concordia, received a $250 scholarship, and Beau Bonebrake, Concordia, received a $250 scholarship. The Carol Puckett Memorial Scholarship for for graduates of a Cloud County high school pursuing an education major. Sarah Collins, Miltonvale, received a $1,000 scholarship.
