Field of Interest Funds

Field of Interest Funds allow donors to designate a specific cause or geographic area for grant making without having to name a specific organization. Grants are made through an application process administered by the Foundation and/or with a special advisory group with expertise in the field of interest.

Cloud County Economic Development Fund
The purpose of the Cloud County Economic Development Fund is to support projects or programs which support positive, progressive economic or community development in Cloud County, and are charitable, educational, or scientific in nature.

Cloud County Public Health Fund 
This is a public health fund formed as a result of participating in the Kansas Health Foundation’s GROW II program. Like the Kansas Health Foundation Fund for Cloud County, it promotes the health and well-being of individuals and communities in Cloud County through encouragement of healthy lifestyles, behaviors and environments.

Dane G. Hansen Foundation Community Grant Fund*
This fund was established by the Dane G. Hansen Foundation to fund grants in Cloud County that address community beautification, education, environment, health & human service and inter-generational projects/programs.

Gelvin-Ingersoll Medical Education Fund
The purpose of the Gelvin-Ingersoll Medical Education Fund is to support medical education activities and/or scholarships to students studying in the medical related field that are charitable, educational or scientific in nature.

Kansas Health Foundation Fund for Cloud County
This is a public health fund formed as a result of participating in the Kansas Health Foundation’s GROW II program. Like the Cloud County Public Health Fund, it promotes the health and well-being of individuals and communities in Cloud County through encouragement of healthy lifestyles, behaviors and environments.

Youth Activity Fund
The Youth Activity Fund supports youth activities in Cloud County that are charitable, educational, or scientific in nature. Grants are considered for all school sponsored and non-school sponsored youth activities with emphasis on academics and the arts but not excluding athletics.

Community Foundation Receices Hansen 50K Matching Grant Initiative

The Community Foundation for Cloud County (CFCC) has been approved to participate in the DANE G. HANSEN FOUNDATION 2019 MATCHING GRANT INITIATIVE. For the month of November, 2019, the Dane G. Hansen Foundation will provide a 100% match for every endowed dollar raised for the Impact Fund for Cloud County (our unrestricted grant fund), up to a maximum of $50,000. The Matching Initiative Grant will provide an additional match of 50% up to a maximum of $25,000 to the CFCC Administrative Fund. This means the match from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation is 1.5 to 1. Kansas Association of Community Foundations Holds Annual Conference

Bob Steimel, Executive Director and Lorene Steimel, Secretary, representing the Community Foundation for Cloud County (CFCC) attended the three-day Annual National Conference for Growing Community Foundations hosted by the Kansas Association of Community Foundations (KACF) held October 27-29, 2019 in Wichita, Kansas. Approximately 476 participants (65% from out of state) from 36 states and 183 community foundations attended the conference.
