Field of Interest Funds

Field of Interest Funds allow donors to designate a specific cause or geographic area for grant making without having to name a specific organization. Grants are made through an application process administered by the Foundation and/or with a special advisory group with expertise in the field of interest.

Cloud County Economic Development Fund
The purpose of the Cloud County Economic Development Fund is to support projects or programs which support positive, progressive economic or community development in Cloud County, and are charitable, educational, or scientific in nature.

Cloud County Public Health Fund 
This is a public health fund formed as a result of participating in the Kansas Health Foundation’s GROW II program. Like the Kansas Health Foundation Fund for Cloud County, it promotes the health and well-being of individuals and communities in Cloud County through encouragement of healthy lifestyles, behaviors and environments.

Dane G. Hansen Foundation Community Grant Fund*
This fund was established by the Dane G. Hansen Foundation to fund grants in Cloud County that address community beautification, education, environment, health & human service and inter-generational projects/programs.

Gelvin-Ingersoll Medical Education Fund
The purpose of the Gelvin-Ingersoll Medical Education Fund is to support medical education activities and/or scholarships to students studying in the medical related field that are charitable, educational or scientific in nature.

Kansas Health Foundation Fund for Cloud County
This is a public health fund formed as a result of participating in the Kansas Health Foundation’s GROW II program. Like the Cloud County Public Health Fund, it promotes the health and well-being of individuals and communities in Cloud County through encouragement of healthy lifestyles, behaviors and environments.

Youth Activity Fund
The Youth Activity Fund supports youth activities in Cloud County that are charitable, educational, or scientific in nature. Grants are considered for all school sponsored and non-school sponsored youth activities with emphasis on academics and the arts but not excluding athletics.

Match Madness Raises $57,610

The 2020 MATCH MADNESS held March 10, 2020, by the Community Foundation for Cloud County (CFCC) had all thirty-one of the participating funds receive endowed gifts totaling $39,610 which were matched by $18,000 (45.57%) from the CFCC for a total of over $57,610 being added to their respective fund balances. 160 unique individual or business donors contributed 294 gifts this year with the average donation per donor being $247.56 and average gifts per donor being 1.84. Many of the organizations who participated used the fliers and promotion materials provided by CFCC to notify their supporters of this opportunity for match donations made[...]

Community Foundation Awards Grants

CFCC AWARDS GRANTS The Community Foundation for Cloud County (CFCC) grant committee  ratified or awarded the following grants since its last meeting: Seize the Moment Fund - a $500 grant to the POW Camp Concordia Preservation Society for development of  brochures  to inform visitors of the authenticity of the camp and a $500 grant to the Concordia Wesleyan Church to assist with the community Easter Egg Hunt.
