Kansas Association of Community Foundations Holds Annual Conference

Bob Steimel, Executive Director and Lorene Steimel, Secretary, representing the Community Foundation for Cloud County (CFCC) attended the three-day Annual National Conference for Growing Community Foundations hosted by the Kansas Association of Community Foundations (KACF) held October 27-29, 2019 in Wichita, Kansas. Approximately 476
participants (65% from out of state) from 36 states and 183 community foundations attended the conference.

The attendees could attend the three plenary sessions: Challenging “When Your’ve Seen One Community Foundations You’ve Seen One”; “Old School Meets New School” Trends and Changing Conversation; and Will We Make A Difference? We Must. The attendees also selected one concurrent session during each of the eight concurrent topic sessions presented. The attendees could select one of the ten tracks if they were only interested in a single track.

The Greater Salina Community Foundation sponsored an evening banquet for its affiliates Monday evening. The Dane G. Hansen Foundation provided to scholarships two the CFCC to attend the conference.
