Community foundation awards scholarships

The Community Foundation for Cloud has awarded over $14,000 in scholarships to area students for the upcoming academic year.

  • The Carl Cunningham Rotary Scholarship for for seniors graduating from Concordia High School. Brenda Craig, Concordia, received a $800 scholarship, Alex Bonebrake, Concordia, received a $500 scholarship, Madelyn Meyer, Concordia, received a $250 scholarship, and Beau Bonebrake, Concordia, received a $250 scholarship.
  • The Carol Puckett Memorial Scholarship for for graduates of a Cloud County high school pursuing an education major. Sarah Collins, Miltonvale, received a $1,000 scholarship.
  • The CF Sunshine Scholarship for for seniors graduating from or graduates of a Cloud County or Washington County high school majoring in a medical, education or recognized trade field. Delaney Trost, Concordia, Nicole Hendrickson, Hanover, and Kyle Mintzmyer, Washington, each received a $700 scholarship.
  • The Pauline and Richard A. Cook Family Scholarship for for North-Central Kansas college sophomores attending Cloud County Community College, Fort Hays State University, Kansas State University or the University of Kansas. The following students each received a $1,000 scholarship: Cierra Kahrs, Clifton; Kora Snavely, Concordia; Lake Winter, Concordia; Roylynn Madden, Concordia; and Adrianna Michaud, Concordia.
  • The Wayne and Alberta Neel Scholarship for for college sophomores or above who are graduates of a Cloud County high school. The following students each received a $1,000 scholarship: Lydia Knapp, Concordia; Mallory Thompson, Emporia; Jordan Eshbaugh, Concordia; and Addison Johnson, Concordia.
  • The Wendy Ann Koch Memorial Scholarship for for graduating seniors from Clifton-Clyde High School. Nathan Ohlde, Clyde, received a $500 scholarship.
