The Community Foundation for Cloud County (CFCC) sponsored  a very successful “Grant Writing Workshop”.  Fifty-five participants representing non-profit organizations, schools, communities and other interested people from six counties were in attendance at the Sisters of St. Joseph auditorium June 29, 2017.  The Dane G. Hansen Foundation (DGHF) provided the speakers for the evening as Betsy Wearing, Coordinator of Communications, Programs and New Initiatives (DGHF), and Kyra Reese, Grant Coordinator (DGHF)  presented the seminar which provided  90 minutes of discussion on grant writing  and the dos and don’ts for grant writing in general and  specifically for the CFCC and DGHF grant applications. After a light dinner, the presentation was the preparation of an actual DGHF grant application. Katy Kitchen, Affiliate and Youth Coordinator with Greater Salina Community Foundation, pointed out some slight differences in the CFCC grant application process.   Bob Steimel, CFCC Executive Director, thanked the presenters and all who attended for the services they provide.
