CFCC Holds Monthly Grant Committee Meeting

The Community Foundation for Cloud County (CFCC) grant committee  ratified or awarded the following grants, totaling $75.859, at its last monthly committee meeting held June 12, 2020:

Impact Fund for Cloud County –a $10,000 grant  to the Cloud County Health Center for the first of five pledges  for the new hospital campaign and a $250 grant to the City of Concordia to pay for the insurance for the American Legion replacement baseball team;

Seize the Moment Fund – a $250 grant to the City of Concordia to pay for the insurance for the American Legion replacement baseball team; a COVID-19 grant of $366.81  to Cloud County for administration costs of the “Caring for Cloud County” campaign by CloudCorp, Concordia Area Chamber of Commerce, and Cloud County Convertion and Tourism. 

Blosser Foundation Donor Advised Fund –  a $10,000 grant to the Cloud County Health Center for the first of five pledges for the new hospital campaign; a $1,000 grant to the City of Concordia for the fifth installment on the first Blosser Aviation Scholarship; a $1,000 grant to the City of Concordia for the fourth installment on the second Blosser Aviation Scholarship;  

Robert and Lorene Steimel Donor Advised Fund – a $3,000 grant  to the Cloud County Health Center for the second of five pledges for the new hospital campaign.

Gelvin-Ingersoll Medical Education Fund –a $2,000 grant to  the Cloud County Health Center for the first of five pledges for the new hospital campaign;   

Dane G. Hansen Community Grant Fund –  agrant of $3,400 to Neighborhood Initiatives, Inc. was approved  for books for the Reading with Friends program; a COVID -19 grant of $8,500 to Cloud County was approved for the Cloud County  4-H, FFA and Open class ribbons and judges at the Cloud County Fair; a COVID-19 grant of $5,000 was approved to the Brown Grand Theatre to help cover operating costs due to the loss of income from being closed due to COVID-19. 

Economic Development Fund – a COVID-19 grant of $598  to Cloud County for  administration costs of the “Caring for Cloud County” campaign by CloudCorp, Concordia Area Chamber of Commerce, and Cloud County Convention and Tourism.

Catholic Youth Education Fund –  a grant for $9,103 to the Notre Dame Scholarship Trust for 2020 scholarships.

Broadway Plaza Operating Fund  – a grant in an amount of $260 to transfer the ‘Available to Spend’ amount in the endowed portion to the organization portion.

Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Cloud County Fund – a grant of $2,900 to Kansas Big/Brothers/Big Sisters Serving Cloud County for operations.

Cloud County Foundation for Health Care Fund– a grant of $4,439 of the “Available to Spend” to the Cloud County Health Center for the new hospital campaign.

Concordia Lutheran Church Fund – a grant of $13,719 to  the Concordia Lutheran Church for withdrawal of the “Available to Spend” for operations.
